Hobart Airport’s Community Aviation Consultation Group (CACG) was established to focus on providing greater community consultation, particularly around planning and development activities at the airport.
The CACG meets quarterly and its chair is appointed based on their impartiality and independence from the airport. The current Chair is Jen Newman.
The CACG is not an arbitration or decision-making body and has no power to direct or implement policy in regards the development of Hobart Airport.
The Community Aviation Consultation Group is part of the Federal Government’s Aviation White Paper recommendations and subsequent Airports Act Amendment Bill.
