Expressions of Interest are currently open for the runway upgrade works.
October 2022 - Federal funding for runway upgrade
Hobart Airport successfully secured $60 million as part of the Federal Budget for strengthening works to the runway in 2022. The funding will ensure fully laden Code E aircraft can use the runway arriving from both domestic and more international routes.
